The week before
- Clear the rooms. Move furniture out of work areas. What cannot move, we will cover — but empty is faster.
- Clear the path. We carry 4×8 sheets — hallways, stairs, and doorways need to be open.
- Decide on the finish. Smooth, orange peel, or knockdown? Decide before we arrive — see drywall texturing.
- Confirm the scope. Walk the written estimate once more. Changes are cheapest before work starts.
Day of
- We protect. Floors covered, work zones sealed with plastic, dust control running.
- Pets and kids. Keep them out of work zones — for their safety and our speed.
- Parking and access. We need to get sheets and tools in efficiently. A clear driveway helps.
- Power and water. We need an outlet and occasional water access. That is it.
What to expect while we work
Hanging days are loud (screw guns, saws). Mud days are quiet. Sanding days are dusty — contained by our plastic barriers, but you will know it is happening. We clean up daily so your home stays livable.
After we leave
Walls come out paint-ready: sanded, textured to match, and cleaned up. Give the final coat a day, then prime before painting — see painting new drywall.
